The People with Disabilities/Disabled Veterans Job Fair is is presented in observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The program is designed to eliminate the barriers to employment for individuals with disabilities.

The program includes:

  1. 1. A day-long event that will pair at least 50 coast employers and organizations with unemployed individuals;
  2. 2. The Community Resource Guide, available in both print and digital forms. The guide will provide information on the community resources available to unemployed and underemployed individuals during their time of need. And,
  3. 3. The Connection, an internet resource center that not only hosts more than 2,000 individuals web pages containing information on organizations that serve individuals with disabilities across Mississippi, but also offers links to national and local employment resources. Individuals with disabilities will be able to easily access information about employment resources, innovative medical services, and recreational opportunities in their communities.

Area employers with current job openings, as well as service organizations offering resources materials for all unemployed or underemployed individuals will be present.
