Houston Center for Contemporary Craft
HCCC provides a variety of educational programs both on site and in the community to support its mission to advance education about the process, product and history of craft. Every month, adults and children of all ages can enjoy HANDS-ON HOUSTON, a free, first-Saturday craft-making activity led by local guilds and artists. HANDS-ON HOUSTON activities give participants the opportunity for self-expression, as they learn a craft technique, material or form that is related to the current exhibitions.
HCCC is a popular destination for community, school and senior groups. HCCC provides free docent-led tours and optional workshops for groups who schedule in advance. HCCC offers educator resources such as lesson plans and professional development opportunities for educators wishing to integrate craft into the classroom.
The accessible entrance to HCCC is located in the back of the building, adjacent to the free parking lot mentioned above. To request accommodations for special needs, please contact Blaize Middleton at bmiddleton@crafthouston.org.
