Wolf River Water Trails

The Wolf River runs through Hancock, Harrison, and Pearl River counties, and is named after the Red Wolves that once roamed the southeastern United States. The Wolf River starts its 66 mile stream just east of Poplarville and ends in the Gulf of Mexico in the Piney Woods. The trails offers the chance to see coyotes, foxes, turkeys, and birds, but the wolves are long gone. The Wolf River offers views of white sandbars in the upper portion of the river and salt marshes at the mouth of the river.
