The Lucedale Old School House, also known as the County Line School, is the oldest surviving school building in George County. When the school started in the 1880’s, the official name was Evanston, named for the Evans family who lived near by. This charming school contains a wood heater, lantern, and a 48-star flag representing its first flag. In April 21, 2012 the community celebrated it’s reopening.
